2011 needs to be a positive year for liability insurance holders and the need for business growth is substantial, the business body claims.
The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) has called on the Government to ensure that the upcoming Budget promotes economic stability. It has put together a number of measures that will ease the pressure on small businesses.
The past few years have been tough for everyone, especially businesses. Small businesses that have managed to stay on top are in need of Government support at a time when things steadily start to accelerate.
As part of its growth manifesto, the FSB wants the Government to implement measures that include extending the National Insurance holiday for another year to existing businesses with less than 4 employees.
Along with many other campaigners and lobbyers, the FSB is appealing for the planned fuel duty increase to be reversed and for a fuel duty stabiliser to be introduced which they claim will help control inflation.
John Walker, national chairman of the FSB, said:
“With the downgrading of GDP in Q4 2010, it is clear that the economy is in a precarious position and small firms that lack confidence in the business environment will find growth risky.”
“The government does have policies available to show small firms it is serious about supporting growth.”
Liability insurance holders will be pleased to hear that everyone is on their side.
The Budget will be delivered on March 23rd.
