A survey by BIGresearch shows the costs of hosting a holiday barbecue for four jumped 12 percent over 2010 from $54.62 to $61.16.
What in the world happened to the price of charcoal? (You should have purchased the gas grill.) It’s up 130 percent. Hamburger up 15 percent. Hot dogs fell 3. Mustard down 8. Mayo up 30.
Buns offer sweet savings. Down 44 percent.
The best stat is the wet stat. Beer only up 5.
